Where to get film developed near me

We both develop and scan film on site at our Lab in Hatton Garden, london EC1 if you are within reach of us. If this isn’t near enough to you, you can simply send your film for processing by post, making sure you include your contact details, and whether you just want the negatives only or whether you need scanning too.

Why not just use a lab near me?

Unless the lab nearby is a busy or professional lab, the reason I’d personally not use a local processing company is that if they are only processing a small number of rolls a day, the chemicals can go off and it isn’t economic for them to keep replacing them.

Also, smaller companies will use a processing method called ‘Roller Transport” which means that your film is attached to a plastic leader and then dragged from one tank of chemicals to the next through a series of rollers, which can lead to scratches on your negatives. Our service, called “Dip & Dunk” effectively means your film is looped over a hanger, which is then lifted from tank to tank meaning that the film surface doesn’t pass over anything.
